Gobble, gobble! Thanksgiving is upon us once again, which means loads of yummy food and time spent with family and friends. After stuffing the turkey then stuffing your face, who even wants to begin to entertain the idea of exercise? Tampa Bay, Florida, that's who! Join them as they run off the pounds in the 2014 Tampa Bay Times Turkey Trot.
The idea behind this unique fun run is simple: get people together to stay in shape, and collect resources that help many local charities. Proceeds for the Turkey Trot go to support organizations like the West Florida Y Runners Club and their scholarship program, and all food collected will be donated to the Food Pantry Program at Religious Community Services, Inc. This is the true meaning of thanksgiving - giving back and doing good, while being thankful for what you have.
To honor the Tampa Bay Times Turkey Trot this year, they've created a colorful, vivid sticker to support the cause, complete with a stressed-out turkey - and why wouldn't he be? This is the 36th year for the community-wide run, and a great way to support local causes while still having fun. Collect these stickers and be part of the action while letting people know how much fun Thanksgiving can be.
