We're on two southern coasts in America this weekend sponsoring custom sticker sheets at WordCamps, one of our favorite events to provide in-kind stickers for attendees and organizing teams. Both of these sheets highlight what we love about the WordPress community: great design and creative approaches to problem solving. With only a little bit of space, sticker sheets offer a lot of options for your artwork.
WordCamp Miami is one of the ultimate WordPress meetups, especially at this time of year. No matter if you're a blogger, marketer, student, eCommerce store owner, designer, there's a track for you. There's a even a workshop for Kids where GoDaddy, a fellow sponsor, will be providing basic hosting and domain name account to all kids on Saturday. Pretty cool.
But let's dive in their sticker sheet: look at this custom design for WordCamp Miami this year. Talk about instant classic, with plays on some of the best movies of all time. There's a Back to the WordCamp peel, a Raiders of the Lost CMS, I am a WordCamp Goonie, a Stranger Things cutout, a GI Joe themed sticker, and some Transformers with WordPress logos. What a tour de force of design and creativity from left-field. We see a lot of WordCamp sticker sheets, and this one is one of a kind.
WordCamp Miami is one of the longest-running WordCamps and one of the largest volunteer-run community tech events in Miami. There will be over 800 bloggers, developers, marketers, and kids on this weekend during their ninth gathering.
WordCamp San Diego is a (naturally) laid-back, local affair for Southern Californians gather for world’s favorite platform: WordPress. The San Diego WordPress community is an active group, and they always bring in a star-studded list of inspiring speakers, generous sponsors (we love WordCamps!) and an enthusiastic and diverse group of attendees. This year WordCamp San Diego will be returning to the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in downtown, close to many popular attractions, hotels, and restaurants.
They had fun with their sticker sheet, including a beach-ball hugging Wapuu, and some nautical peel offs, with a sailboat, a WordPress-logo-as-sun peel, a mask and snorkel (oh how we'd love to be diving in an ocean at the moment) and a fish and seagull pairing. You can create a fun story with these characters. You can practically feel the sand between your toes, hear the waves and feel the breeze. This sheet finishes off with a Ron-Burgundy approved "Stay Classy" mini event sticker with the date of this year's WordCamp San Diego.
At StickerGiant, WordPress is where we create our sticker stories. If you're not up to speed with WordPress, here's the quick skinny: WordPress powers a reported 60 million websites, and provides a free, open-source platform for website management and blogging. It's been around since 2003, and it's a great way to get into web design, eCommerce and creative expression on the internet.WordCamp Miami and San Diego 2017
