Meet Wednesday. She's our rockstar shipping specialist and the real backbone of our company. Because let's face it--we could make the most beautiful stickers in the world but if we can't get them to you in time, whats the point right? Wednesday is an amazing resource to the StickerGiant family. She's resourceful, incredibly dedicated to her craft, and has a knack for nurturing those around her to really feel part of the team.
What was your first job?:
I was a gift wrapper in a high end pharmacy gift shop. People would come in and desire special wrapping during the Christmas holiday, and it was the perfect job for a 16 year old.
What is it about working at StickerGiant that helps you enjoy your work day?
I love all the creative people that work here. We also enjoy a huge amount of employee empowerment which provides a sense of freedom that I've never experienced before within a corporate structure.
What is the worst problem you've encountered here at StickerGiant and how did you fix it?
I work very hard to make sure that the stickers I ship make it to the right address. But from time to time there can be a mix up and its always unfortunate when a customer accidentally receives the wrong order. When that happens, our customers are super gracious and will work with us to send it direct to the correct person (we cover the extra shipping of course).
There are times when a basic redirection won't work, and in those cases we have remade orders to make sure that we fulfill our promises to the customer. I've made sure to also come in early or stay late if it means that I can track the package down for the customer. I make it my job to make it right because I'd want someone to do the same for me.
Do you have a personal sticker collection?
I like to collect animal and kid-related stickers for my four-year-old daughter. Having grown up in Austin, TX, I also keep stickers that help me express my hometown spirit. I've actually maintained a collection of stickers since childhood from the 70's and 80's that my parents used to collect and bring home for me during their travels.
If you were telling someone about what makes working at StickerGiant different, what would you say?
Stickers are a unique product to handle because they are incredibly tangible. You can hold them, observe their awe inspiring designs, and the process of making and shipping them is very hands-on. A sticker order isn't just a number for me. I actually take the time to look at your sticker because I care about it, but also because I'm a true sticker enthusiast.
