Not every child needs a superhero to protect them, sometimes all it takes is someone like Voice For Children CASA to step in.
Voices For Children CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, are on a mission to provide trained, court-appointed volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in Boulder County. Here's some background on their mission:
"Since 1985, Voices For Children CASA has been providing high quality advocacy and support to the child victims of abuse or neglect. As part of the National CASA movement in the late ’70s and into the ’80s, VFC was brought to life through the collaboration of the Junior League of Denver and the Boulder County Bar Association after they realized that children’s voices were not being heard in the court."As part of their involvement in the community, Voices For Children CASA attends many local events. At this year's Longmont Pride, they brought along custom rainbow color logo stickers to hand out as part of the festivities. It's great to see foundations out there that stand up for human rights and even better to see their impact and mission spread through custom stickers.
