Did you know that it's Cyber Security Awareness Month? It's a hot topic these days, as thousands of websites around the world were shut down just last week. Like, Twitter and Netflix big. So, it's perfect timing for an event like the inaugural Three Rivers Information Security Symposium (TRISS) in Moon Township, just northwest of Pittsburgh. Thanks to folks at Robert Morris University for opening up their campus venue for this event.
These organizers decided to print up a sticker sheet with a black version and white version of their event logo, plus their sponsor's logos as individual button stickers that peel off. This is a cool concept, and a fun way to brand your event and thank your sponsors in one fell swoop.
Pittsburgh region information technology and security organizations are working together to increase awareness, interaction and knowledge among the local information security community. Local security groups and partners hosting the symposium include InfraGard Pittsburgh, ISSA, OWASP, and Robert Morris University. ISACA, ISC2, RMU’s Top Secret Colonials, and Steel City InfoSec are also providing local support for this event. There are two keynotes and five presentations. Check out the presentation abstracts on the TRISS website.
