Today we're proud to announce a formal partnership with the parent group of all Ignite Talks, where we'll provide stickers for their events all over the world. We're over the moon because we love the Ignite team, and we love how their events bring people together for fast-paced delight and inspiration.
Ignite’s mission is “Everyone Speaks.” They believe that public speaking builds confidence in individuals and that events like Ignite build community. Their goal is to make it possible for anyone, anywhere to learn how to present their ideas and their stories.
The history of Ignite Talks
The first Ignite took place in Seattle in 2006, and since then the event has become an international phenomenon. Ignite is a series of events where speakers have five minutes to talk on a subject accompanied by 20 slides, for 15 seconds each, automatically advanced. Ignite started in Seattle, and it has spread to over 350 organizing teams in cities, universities, governments and companies who have hosted thousands of events.
Brady Forrest and Bre Pettis started the first Ignite and recruited O'Reilly Media and MAKE magazine as sponsors. O'Reilly continued to support Ignite until November 2015 when the franchise returned to founder, Brady Forrest, who created a Public Benefit Corporation around Ignite Talks, and thus Ignite Talks PBC was born. Now it's an independent organization focusing on supporting Ignite events around the world and promoting public speaking.
We've been sponsoring Ignite Talks for some time, starting with Ignite Boulder, one of the largest Ignite communities in the world. Over the years, we've printed name tag stickers, logo stickers, and we've even attended the event and volunteered our team as live stream and production help. We believe in local giving and participation, and it's how we give back to the Boulder community that supports our business.

Ignite SF 14: Back and better than ever
On to tonight's event and our featured city: San Francisco. Ignite San Francisco returns for their 14th edition. Ignite San Francisco is the Bay Area’s volunteer-run chapter of Ignite Talks--a global event series of speedy presentations. We bring the community together three times a year for a night of entertainment on a diverse variety of topics. They have the awesome clear sticker you see above with the custom shape of the Ignite Talks logo, the red spaceship looking Sutro Tower and the fog and clouds that are the Bay Area's signature weather pattern.
