It was truly a pleasure to connect with Trace O'Connor, one of the life-size retroskeleton sculpture artists behind the Fort Collins, CO based company Plynosaur.com. The company perked our interest recently after watching an awesome video that covers their craft in action (view the clip below). We were further impressed by their interview submission where Trace intrigued us with his unique sense of humor and passion for childhood nostalgia. But don't just take our word for it,
like Plynosaur Dot Com on Fb and read on to find out why we think this fun-loving company is worth a look:
Q&A with Trace O'Connor
What do people really dig about your product/services?:
At Plynosaur, we like to think that our approach to sculpture both takes people back to a little place in their childhood and also to a place they wish they'd been able to go in those moments. How awesome would it have been if you'd said "Gosh Golly Gee! I only wish this toy here that I just assembled were life-size.... Oh well." and *NAMacadabra!*, it was big enough to tote off that annoying kid in your class in its jaws...
Who are the awesome people behind the curtain at your company/project and what do they do?:
Jordan Gottsacker: Branding Aesthetician
Steve Gartner: Logistics Momentum Consultant
Trace O'Connor: Retroskeletastic Mastermind
Jordan Q. Twiggs, Digital Problem-Melter
Why/How do you use stickers as a marketing or outreach tactic?:
Yay northern Colorado: one sticker size is for bike frames and growlers. One size is for laptops, water bottles and use as business cards.
What advice would you give to a company thinking about using stickers as a marketing tactic to wow their fans. What has worked for you, what hasn’t, etc?:
Plynosaur is brand (hah!) new, so advice isn't my strong suit regarding stickers yet. People just toss out business cards a lot of the time. I read once that utility is the way to go with branding and promo materials. Magnets, pencils, buttons and of course the quintessential, well-designed sticker can't possibly be thrown out!
List some ways that fans can support your brand to encourage growth apart from buying your product or service?:
