Staring at a mat, shaking, breathing in and out, focus is all that the brain can think, this is yoga. It's a challenge but within the challenge is peace. A natural high that stretches out the body and makes you relax. Growing Branches Yoga is providing people the opportunity to transform their mental, physical and overall well being.
Growing Branches Yoga was started by Dawn Wildes, who began practicing yoga in 2005 and after seeing the positive effects it had in her life, took up teaching it. Dawn first focused on teaching kids yoga and developing the youth to embrace the benefits As she began to see the results in children, she decided to pursue more training and is now offering yoga classes to all ages. The neat part of Growing Branches is that it is more than just another yoga studio. They offer classes at a variety of studios, workplaces, schools, in-home and even out on lakes & reservoirs on a stand up paddle board.
S.U.P. (Stand Up Paddleboard) Yoga has been around a few years now and offers additional challenges and benefits. S.U.P. Yoga is focused more on the core and challenges the body to keep balance. It is also more peaceful, being out on the water, hearing the sounds of nature and feeling the waves underneath. The real challenge though is not falling in the water and if you do, "Why do we fall, Bruce? So, we can learn to pick ourselves back up." I am sure Batman does yoga too.
Dawn has done a lot to build her business through expanding her offerings and learning more about how to teach the full benefits of yoga. Growing Branches Yoga uses premium white logo stickers in their daily promotion, so clients can rep the brand and let people know how they are starting to look and act differently.
Dawn offered a crash course in SUP Yoga and we had to share some of the beauty from McIntosh Lake here in Longmont, Colorado while finding inner peace.
