Another Weekend Full of Startups!
Startup-Weekend-Mashup-of-Custom-Stickers-Printed-by-StickerGiant We're celebrating entrepreneurship across North America this weekend, with Startup Weekend gatherings in California, Texas and Ontario, Canada. Let's get our Startup Bus rolling for a little road trip that starts on the West Coast, heads east to the Lone Star State and end up outside of Toronto.
Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of active community leaders and entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. These events are a unique opportunity for developers, designers, and business people to team up and build a startup in just 54 hours. What's cool is that all around the world, there are people that can help you get from zero to a new company by Sunday night. At a Startup Weekend, there are activities that include rapid-fire startup pitches, prototype building, customer development, coaching and feedback by local mentors, a keynote speaker, and some conclude with a Shark Tank-style judging session. This opportunity provides anyone with a challenging, engaging, and risk-free space to test out the great idea that they’ve been hanging on to (or, you can help someone build theirs).
But let's talk about each event's sticker real quick before dropping a sweet video all about Startup Weekends. StickerGiant-Sponsored-Stickers-Startup-Weekend-SCV-2015

Startup Weekend Santa Clarita Valley

Startup Weekend Santa Clarita Valley just outside of LA has the local roller coaster and amusement park tower from the Six Flags Magic Mountain on their sticker. They used simple lines and bold type to brand their local happening, and they used a clear sticker that let's the light shine through to match those bluebird California skies. Grand prize is $500 and a Co-Working Space.

Startup Weekend Fort Worth

Deep in the heart of Texas, Startup Weekend Fort Worth took the classic Startup Weekend beaker and turned it into a robot walking along the city skyline, and then they did a fun type treatment with a thin, hand drawn font on top and big, bold sans serif font on the bottom. This helps the city name stand out, but not take attention away from, the fun art that's on the sticker. With three neutral colors, a cream, the pale blue-green and then a grey, this sticker will travel nicely for all attendees.

Startup Weekend Peel

And from our friends in Peel, Canada, at Startup Weekend Peel, we have a white sticker sheet with two tear offs, there's a thin beaker sticker with their locale name, and then a photo-based tear off with their event branding to complete the sticker sheet.
