This weekend we are heading to Singapore, the only island nation-state in the world, for Startup Weekend Singapore 2017. We are stoked for the over 150 entrepreneurs who are expected to gather at Google's brand new headquarters to build their next company. We have our die cut stickers heading their way, featuring a bold red take take on the classic Startup Weekend beaker design. With a custom shape straight off our laser die cut machine, these stickers are long lasting and make for portable branding.
This year's edition features a partnership with Indoor Ag-Con, a group that specializes in events in the indoor agriculture industry. The agricultural tech (ag-tech) industry includes big data, IOT, sensors, lighting, hardware, smart tech software, and even artificial intelligence.In just 54 hours, participants will form teams, brainstorm, design a product, validate their business idea and pitch in front of experienced judges on Sunday evening. Teams working on ideas in ag-tech can win an Indoor Ag-Con prize.
Globally, Startup Weekend and TechStars (the folks behind Startup Weekend and Startup Week) have reached more than 1140 cities and boasts an alumni count of over 480,000 entrepreneurs. Startup Weekend Singapore has launched a few successful companies that have gone to to acquisition. In the true spirit of Startup Weekend, there will be local startups, budding founders and cool companies to meet for networking.
