It's a busy weekend at the Sponsorship Desk, with two WordCamps east of the Mississippi. It just brings a smile to our faces to know that the community is gathering to talk WordPress. Let's start off by heading east to Pennsylvania, then west to Ohio.
2016 WordCamp Lancaster, PA

Starting off in eastern Pennsylvania, Lancaster will be hosting their
2016 edition of WordCamp. This sticker sheet has their classic Amish barn quilt design and some custom, whimsical
Wapuu tear-offs. Attendees will gather at
Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 (IU13), an education service agency dedicated to delivering irresistible services to schools and communities across the state and beyond, and they'll hear from
speakers all
weekend, plus a
keynote panel featuring a distinguished group of open source experts. On
Contributor Day, located at coworking space
The Candy Factory, contributors will focus on
giving back to the WordPress project.
It’s for those with experience contributing as much as it is for those who are entirely new to doing so. There are many ways to contribute including code, accessibility, themes, design, documentation, training, event organizing, and much more.
To everyone heading to WordCamp Lancaster, have a great time being with your community.
2016 WordCamp Dayton
Let's move west to Ohio and
Wright State University’s Small Business Development Center in Rike Hall where
2016 WordCamp Dayton will be taking off with a humdinger schedule that the organizers have put together. They have sessions and speakers that will talk about everything WordPress, from theme customization to social media integration.
Check on the
#WCdayton updates on the
@daytonwp Twitter account. They will be monitoring it throughout the event and using the hashtag. All attendees are encouraged to post pictures and tweet thoughts throughout the event. We also want to give a shoutout to all of the other
sponsors.
