5 Senses
5 Senses, a five college student showcase, an event is designed around the theme of the five senses. This weekend attendees and performers will gather at Weinstein Auditorium in Wright Hall on the Smith College campus.
Each of the interactive performances will unravel topics, research, experiences, or innovations that fuse with taste, sight, sound, touch, and smell. The goal of this showcase is to expand the audience’s perception of the five senses through the amazing speakers and performers from the five different colleges. It's being put on by STUDENTx and
Smith College Bipartisan Coalition, a Political Organization.
They're rocking their well-designed
logo stickers on premium white, which helps their other colors pop off a grey background. This sticker will look great on water bottles, laptops or any other place the stickers wants to represent their 5 Senses.
Lady Hacks 2016
LadyHacks is Philadelphia’s women-only hackathon, a super cool event for coders (who are women) of all skill levels to work collaboratively on projects.
They follow the model of a "civic hackathon," with "a goal of working on projects for the social good rather than hosting a competition for a commercial product." This year the team is challenging participants to envision ways to use technology to promote health, wellness, and self-care during LadyHacks 2016. It can be very stressful to try to learn new tech skills while also excelling at a full time job or to become a leader in the tech industry and an expert in your area. To be your best self and the best developer, designer, or learner, you need to be healthy and to take time to restore your mind and body.
The teams will kickoff on Friday, April 15th & Saturday, April 16th at
Azavea in downtown Philly. Kudos to the organizers and sponsors for helping support women in technology. LadyHacks created a great small logo sticker that will fit neatly on laptops while they work or also slap on a mobile phone case. You can follow the event on Twitter at
