Tonight kicks off Go Code Colorado, an event we've sponsored for the past two years (see coverage for 2014 and 2015), and this edition begins at Galvanize in Denver.
This state-wide, state-sanctioned coding initiative features events in Denver, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Grand Junction and Durango, and the Challenge Weekend will take place April 1 – 3. Mentor Weekend will be from April 15 - April 17, with the Final Event taking place on May 26.
This year's edition has a longer development schedule than last year's version, so the teams can:
"...work on their apps and business concepts much earlier and longer than previous years. At stake: a mentor weekend in Boulder for the 10 semi-finalist teams, and $25,000 for the final three winning teams."
The sponsored stickers for 2016 feature three different shapes (see above): a teardrop with a code-based design, a circle with all of the participating cities, and colored gradient on a rounded square.
And as the event organizers like to say: "Whether you are an app developer, entrepreneur, member of the press or a curious citizen—the kickoff event has become a can’t-miss event for anyone wanting to network in and keep a pulse of the Colorado tech entrepreneurship community." So come grab some appetizers & drinks at Galvanize Platte in Downtown Denver.
