Winter stuff sure has changed since the last time I bought a coat. I needed a new one this season and I was surprised to find that all the fluffy down-filled puffy coats had been replaced with all sorts of high-tech fabrics that were super-thin but supposedly keep you warm down to 50 below or something. And the puffy coats that were left were, like, expensive.
Looks like Sierra Designs has more of the newfangled high-tech winter wear, for men and women, as well as tents and sleeping bags. They say they're one of the most renowned brands in the outdoor industry, and who am I to say they aren't? I've been on a mountain exactly once, and I broke my ACL. They had to toboggan me down the mountain. At least I was warm in my puffy coat.
