There are few other times during the year that bring us as much joy as the beginning of the fall, when the leaves turn vibrant colors and the runners strap on their athletic shoes to run the South Shore Half. Never heard of it, you said? Read on, my friend, and find out why this is the most scenic run you'll ever take.
Touring the scenic countryside, the South Shore Half is a half-marathon fun run through the beautiful fall foliage of Norwell, Massachusetts. Taking place in November 2nd, this race starts at Norwell High School and finishes at the post office on the back roads of a quaint little town of less than 10,000. This is South Shore's inaugural race, and promises not only festive fall fun (say that three times fast!) but a great post-race party sponsored by McGreal's Tavern and Tinkers Son Pub, two local favorites.
To help participants get in the mood to run the course, South Shore Half has these bright stickers that take on the classic colors of fall with style. You can't help but be ready to lace up your tennies when you see it! Stick one on your shirt the day of the race, of tack it to the board in the kitchen as a reminder of your sweet accomplishment. Who knows? This might catch on, and next year will be even better!
