Sometimes it takes a dog to remind you of how terrific you are, and that's where RedandHowling.com steps in. RedandHowling is the brainchild of Amy Luwis. Her online store provides books, prints, mugs, collectibles, stickers!, notecards and even more cartoons of cats and dogs. This illustration comes to life as a custom circle sticker printed on our kiss cut offering.
Luwis is also a co-founder of the Humane America Animal Foundation, a business that runs Adopt-a-Pet.com. Adopt-a-Pet.com is a non-profit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) adoption advertising charity. Their mission (and passion) is to help get homeless pets out of the shelters and into loving homes. We're all about taking care of our furry friends, and this organization is doing good for families and for pets.
In her recent book "For Dog’s Sake!: A Simple Guide to Protecting Your Pup from Unsafe Foods, Everyday Dangers, and Bad Situations," Luwis talks about the everyday, and often surprising, perils that could cost your dog dearly (as well as cost you dearly at the vet’s office). It's a fun, easy read, with important information for anyone who wishes their dog to live a long and healthy life.
We loved this quote from barkpost about Luwis and her work. It's a nice writeup that's worth the read, too.
“There are dog people and then there is Amy Luwis. In dog world terms, Amy is a multi-hyphenate triple threat: author-cartoonist-advocate. As a life-long animal lover and co-founder of Adopt-a-Pet.com, Amy has worked tirelessly to make the world a better place for all of its living creatures.” –barkpost.comThis custom sticker shares one of her whimsical illustrations, and it's a great addition to any of the orders that come through RedandHowling, which is a one-person operation. Kudos to Luwis for fulfilling orders and creating all of the awesome videos and cartoons you see on the website. Also, a portion of all sales on RedandHowling.com go to saving animals. Give her a look for that left-of-center gift for the pet lover in your life. Or maybe you're the pet lover. Treat yourself. You're terrific. When you can give something to your customers that's unexpected, you can create a brand experience. We talk a lot about delighting customers here on the blog, and we love to highlight examples from our awesome customers when they're going the extra mile for their business. Now: how will you delight your customers?
