Perfect Vents is a patent pending flush mount vent cover that flawlessly matches luxury flooring material. This solution solves the problem created by a stock piece of plastic or metal from a hardware store that disrupts the clean lines of newly installed flooring.
Invented by Joe Kennedy, Perfect Vents is a home improvement solution born from his experience in the flooring industry. “The floating floor market has almost doubled in size in the last few years,” Kennedy said. “The calls for these vents were getting more and more frequent in our business, so we decided to do something about it.”
After many prototypes they figured out the best process, and Perfect Vents hit the market. Kennedy is no stranger to the flooring market. In 1987, his parents started Georgia Quality Carpet Outlet, and Joe worked at the store with his brother and sister. Once his parents retired in 2001, the Kennedy kids kept the shop running. In 2017, Joe decided to strike out on his own, while his brother and sister still run the store and help with Perfect Vents. During his years at the flooring store, he had customers asking for matching flush mount vents for the floating floors, but unfortunately, he had no options to give them.
Perfect Vents come with a template that help cut a hole into the floorboard, which guarantees the installer can replicate the same size for each vent cover. The rest of the flooring is protected by the template that prevents over-cutting or extraneous air flow. After the cut is made, a metal plate slides in to hold the pre-cut vent cover and support the floor.
To brand their template packages and the corresponding flooring styles that work with Perfect Vents, they are using three glossy labels with different shapes and designs. Perfect Vents chose the glossy labels because they helped make their look more professional and create brand awareness. They hand apply the labels to their samples, templates, and displays. There are three different label styles and shapes in their labeling options, which provides maximum branding opportunities. Their's have a rectangle label, a square label and a circle label. This takes advantage of all of our label styles.
Our favorite part of this story? When we asked Joe about what’s next, he said “The future looks bright for Perfect Vents. We have dealers in 42 states, and we are continuing to expand.” A story like this shows the power of a great idea and well-design product, and the label is working as a supporting character.
