Microsoft: This is My Office

Where is your office? A cubicle? An office building? A coworking space? Home office? Under a tent canopy with a disco ball (That's Us)? On the go? Microsoft employees have embraced the fact that their office is their laptop. Where they go, it goes and in a twenty four seven modern work environment many of us can relate. Microsoft built an eighty eight acre smart building paradise for workers but even still Microsoft’s director of facilities and energy, Darrell Smith proudly keeps his "This Is My Office" sticker on his laptop as he runs from building to building for meetings. Jessica Schultz, a Microsoft Business Administrator, stated "A lot of employees in our (organization) are mobile or work remotely, so their laptops are truly their office." It's a fun concept to make motivational, brand stickers for employees. It gives them a concept, or idea, to embrace. It also can be motivational. We all claim different identities and show off parts of our lives through stickers. Why shouldn't our place of work be one of them?
