Portland Gear is a clothing and lifestyle brand that speaks to all things Rose City (one of the nicknames for PDX, other iconic term for Oregon's largest metropolitan area). Recently, Portland Gear has partnered with the Portland Diamond Project on their campaign to bring Major League Baseball to Stumptown (yep, another Portland nickname). Portland Gear hits a home run with their custom circle die cut sticker design featuring a bold yellow color background, crossed bats, the Portland Gear logo with the Oregon shape and, naturally, a pine tree.
Back in the 1860s, Portland had a baseball club, and the Portland Beavers are the local AAA team, so the history is rich and the opportunity is right for American's national pastime to come to northwest Oregon. The project has a notable team member in Russel Wilson, quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks, and his wife Ciara Wilson, and so far they have funded the stadium, and they just need the land so that Major League Baseball will select them for a new team.
To promote this cause, there is a big event in the fall with a corn maze, and Portland Gear has related Baseball to PDX merchandise in their online shop, along with sticker packs for sale.
