Q&A with Rudy
What do people really dig about your product/services?: We are a unique, bold and fresh brand of beer art. Our customers love the creativity and thought that goes into each design and how there is nothing else like this on the market. Who are the awesome people behind the curtain at your company/project and what do they do?: My name is Rudy Pollorena Jr. and I am the creator and artist of CRAFT BEERD. I originate and create all the artwork, run the day to day business and set up events such as "Craft Beerd Day" in San Diego (to start). The concept behind that is having a pop-up at a brewery or a venue, selling Craft Beerd gear and if anyone shows up wearing some of my apparel, they will get $1off pints. So the Craft Beerd apparel is a gift that keeps on giving :) Why/How do you use stickers as a marketing or outreach tactic?: I chose to go the die-cut route for my stickers to closely match the unique and fun style of the Craft Beerd logo. I blasted out on social media who wanted to be apart of the official street team for Craft Beerd and I went ahead and mailed out a pack of stickers to each responding member. The requests came from within San Diego all the way out to the east coast. It was a good way to spread the Craft Beerd love and get the name out there. I also use stickers and place them within beer bars, craft restaurants and breweries to "stamp" the Craft Beerd name. I packed one sticker with each sale online and got a great response from that. I ran out of them and actually need to order more!
What advice would you give to a company thinking about using stickers as a marketing tactic to wow their fans. What has worked for you, what hasn’t, etc?:
Getting people involved creatively to use your stickers.
Have contests with the stickers to make a collage with your brand and some other creative element.
Make the stickers feel like gold. People LOVE stickers and create awesome art for them and make them work for the stickers too to earn one :) They will appreciate the reward.
List some ways that fans can support your brand to encourage growth apart from buying your product or service?:
The best way to support outside of purchasing a rad beer art product is to follow me on all my social media outlets and sharing that link with others.
You can also go to my website, craftbeerd.com and sign up for the newsletter at the bottom of the site to get upcoming updates and more.
Craft Beerd is a brand that has built a subculture within the craft beer community (starting with San Diego, and now reaching outward) - so when you are wearing a piece of Craft Beerd apparel, wear it proudly and drink some good beer as well :) Cheers, Rudy
