Could you, would you, on a bike? Could you would you, help promote bike safety, awareness, and smart cycling? (Hey, this is an extracurricular, not poetry class.) How We Roll OSU is an effort to make things safe for bikers, drivers, and pedestrians on and around the Ohio State University campus.
How We Roll is a unique cyclist outreach campaign developed by Bike OSU to foster a positive bike culture on campus, ensure that everyone can ride with confidence and eliminate bike/car crashes in the university area. The campaign features a mass media onslaught, community building events, loads of freebies and super fun free bicycle tours of Campus, the Short North and Downtown Columbus. Bike OSU’s experienced cyclists will share “how we roll” with fellow students during fall quarter to help them learn how to hold their own in traffic. Bike OSU (official name “Commuter Cyclists of The Ohio State University”) created this campaign with the support of Yay Bikes! and funding from ODOT, ODPS and NHTSA.
Speaking of bicycles, what would the creator of some of the silliest, best-loved children's stories ride? Something ridiculous...but functional. Like this crazy fun ride, perhaps? Dr. Seuss would agree, we're sure.
