Women Build, a part of Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley, which itself is a part of Habitat for Humanity International is doing some amazing work right here in StickerGiant's neck of the woods.
Women Build is a Habitat for Humanity International program that encourages women to make a difference by building homes and communities. The program seeks to encourage women volunteers to further the home-building mission of Habitat for Humanity. Since Women Build's official creation in 1998, Women Build volunteers have constructed more than 1,600 homes around the world. Since 1988, Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley seeks to provide simple, decent and affordable housing to individuals and families living beween 20% and 50% of the Area Median Income throughout the St. Vrain Valley School District. HFHSVV serves Longmont, Niwot, Lyons, Mead, Erie, Fredrick, Firestone and Dacono.
A couple of Saturdays ago, 70 runners helped Women Build raise $2000 while cruising through a 5K race. Way to go, runners! And when they finished, they rehydrated using water bottles with some nifty stickers on them. StickerGiant was proud to sponsor this event right in our own backyard. Because really, every family in every community deserves a solid roof over their heads!
