Their goal is to be the modern incarnation of "ye old Public Houses" that serves as a gathering spot for families, friends, lovers, politicians, and entertainers. In their Jackson location, they started with an empty 85-year-old building that was in a state of disrepair. Outdated, neglected and covered in graffiti, they totally renovated it from the ground up by installing new floors, windows, electrical, lighting, heating, air conditioning, plumbing, paint, kitchen, a column vodka still and a 15-barrel steam-powered brew house. In Marshall, they are located in what was once the mercantile store for the budding town of Marshall. Now the spaces houses their small batch brewery, still, pub and kitchen. They make all of their own beer, wine, and spirits and they use locally sourced Michigan ingredients in their scratch kitchen. Both Grand River Brewery outposts are truly unique spaces for gathering and making memories.
Grand River Distillery Uses Matte Recycled Paper Labels

Grand River Brewery is a multifaceted facility that serves as a winery, distillery, and eatery for folks in the towns of Jackson and Marshall, Michigan.
The heart of their brewing facility is the state-of-the-art steam-heated brewhouse. They take pride in constructing creative small batch ales using only the finest local Michigan hops. If it's IPAs that you crave... look no further. Their Monkey Mouth IPA was awarded the Gold medal for "Best American IPA" at the New York International Beer Competition.
Their eatery focuses on honest food that's locally sourced and all made from scratch. They are home of the Best Poutine in Michigan (and North America, according to some Canadians!), and they pride themselves on serving fresh food with seasonal ingredients. However, the Grand River calling card is their BBQ, where they smoke meats in an 1,100 lb. custom-built smoker and the maple syrup you see above goes well on just about anything, not just breakfast.
As for the distillery, Grand River produces a variety of libations like handcrafted whiskey, vodka, gin, rum and agave spirits. Their mantra is a "grain to bottle mentality," where each step of the spirit making process is closely monitored. To make these spirits, Grand River uses an American-made, electrically heated copper column still to produce the first legal liquor made in Jackson, Michigan. Customers at their Marshall and Jackson locations can take home a fifth for themselves or as a gift, or folks can settle down with an in-house cocktail inspired by pre-prohibition era cocktails.
The label that Grand River is using for their Maple Syrup is printed on our matte recycled paper label product. They are using a brown background color on the label, which gives it a vintage look. The matte finish is smooth to the touch and will stand up to cool temperatures in a cold case or refrigerator. It can even be written on to help identify bottling date or batch number, depending on what's inside the bottle. The clean white material for these custom labels is made from post consumer recycled materials, and sustainably sourced materials certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, which makes for a perfect compliment to any eco friendly products.
With a permanent adhesive and a protective varnish, these custom matte paper labels are ready for nearly any indoor application and packaging need, and you can see how Grand River's label design uses a big, bold serif font for the product name to set it apart on a shelf. The fun part? There's a sublimated maple leaf framing the entire middle of the design with the well-known phrase "100% Pure Michigan" that folks from the Mitten State use to promote their certain way of living in the land between the lakes.
This style of maple syrup leverages the Grand River Distilling process by aging the syrup cherry port bourbon barrels to give it a distinctive flavor and give a sense of place for both Michigan natives and visitors to the Great Lake State. The from-the-land approach in the product comes through in the label design for a thoroughly distinctive and memorable experience in a bottle. If you even find yourself in south central Michigan, put either Grand River Brewery, Distillery and Eatery location on your travel itinerary. Tell them that Team StickerGiant sent you for some 100% Pure Michigan Maple Syrup. Enjoy!
