Raymond Albert "Ray" Kroc was the man responsible for turning McDonald's into the most monolithic fast food emporium the world has ever known. He clearly loved what he did. This would not be America without a Double Cheeseburger, Large Fries and a Shamrock Shake. And the wrappers, carelessly thrown on the roadside.
I was going to tell you how I loved Big Macs almost until the day when I first saw Morgan Spurlock's Supersize Me, and I almost embedded the full movie on this post, but I thought better of it.
Fast food is a dangerous thing. So delicious, yet so full of consequences. Salt, Fat, Sugar ... these are all things that should be absorbed in moderation.
But yeah. I'd rather eat pizza any day of the week.
The independently-owned pizza places I most frequently frequent puts their customers first and have done so for decades. So Ray's quote stands ... rock on.
