This Wednesday night is one of our most-fun sponsored events: IgniteBoulder at the Boulder Theater. We’ll be there livestreaming and hanging out as part of Boulder Startup Week. We also printed the super cool name tag stickers that you see in the image above. They have funny, random phrases that are way cooler than the stock "Hello My Name Is" stickers that you see at just about every event.
If you don’t know, the prompt for Ignite Boulder is this: Enlighten us quickly. That means speakers get five minutes and twenty slides to talk about their geeky passions.
The event happens every few months, and it’s a wonderful gathering of the community in Boulder, Colorado. IgniteBoulder got it’s start in 2008 to let creators share what they are geeking out on. It has grown with over twenty-five sold out events and in the process has become the largest Ignite in the world. Run by an all-volunteer team of misfits (including a few of us sticker phreaks!) this event strives to inspire, celebrate and kick some awesome geeky data into your brain. Tickets sell out they day they go on sale generally, so keep yourself on top of your calendar if you want to dance on this card.
If you’re around a computer on Wednesday night at 7pm, hop onto the live stream that we’ll be running. And if you're in the Boulder Theater at Ignite, stop the camera and say hi.
Here’s a video from IgniteBoulder 24 in December 2014. In it, Denver doc Cory Siebe tells us what he’s learned from working in the ER. It’s inspiring, educational and just a bit geeky, or all things Ignite. Enjoy.
