Fly Lion bringing a midwestern flair to alternative rock to Indianapolis
Custom-Band-Stickers-Printed-by-StickerGiant-for-the-Band-Fly-Lion See what I said? Here's another band promoting themselves with stickers. The provenance here seems to go like this – these four guys are the Tim Meils Band when they're playing Tim's solo material, and Fly Lion when they play the band stuff. That's the best I can figure out from their MySpace page and their Facebook page, where you'll find some of their songs on their wall. The rest of the band, whatever they're called, is Jim Gilchrist, Tim James and Sujit Nanda. They play a kind of Midwestern brand of alternative rock, featuring a twelve-string acoustic along with crunchy electrics and splashy drums. So, they've got the cool logo, a ton of StickerGiant custom stickers, and some songs. (Note to Fly Lion: put 'em on MySpace too!) If you're in Indianapolis, show up at Birdy's, 2131 East 71st Street, at 10:45 on October 22 to cheer on Fly Lion in the second round of The Battle of Birdy's rock'n'roll tournament.
