From Wikipedia: An empanada is a stuffed bread or pastry. The name comes from the Spanish verb empanar, meaning to wrap or coat in bread. Empanada is made by folding a dough or bread patty around the stuffing. In Spain, empanadas are usually large and circular in size and are cut into smaller portions for consumption, whereas in South America empanadas are normally small and semi-circular.If you are going to SXSW, and want good food, get a taste of mmmPanadas for yourself. The mobile truck can be found on the northeast corner of 5th and Brazos in downtown Austin TX. They are there:
- Weekdays: Tuesday - Thursday 9:00am-1:30pm
- Evenings: Thursday - Saturday 10pm-2:30am
