It's a WordCamp doubleheader this weekend on opposite sides of the Midwest: Missouri and Ohio.
Let's start in Kansas City, AKA Title Town (The Royals did win the World Series last year) before taking a stroll through Kent, Ohio (where they are pulling hard for the Cavaliers in this year's NBA Finals). Of course, we get to see two fun and creative Wapuu sticker sheets on premium white.
Nothing like a WordCamp to bring out the WordPress-inspired whimsy.
WordCamp Kansas City
For the fifth year, WordCamp Kansas City is bringing a great audience, with as many as 300 attendees, across the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday event. They have an experienced organizing committee and have teamed with Kauffman Foundation Conference Center to provide a fantastic venue and conference-going experience. In addition to the well established core audience for WordPress in the Kansas City and surrounding area, they will have a strong marketing program and specific program content to reach out to newcomers to WordPress community. We love the Royals Wapuu, city skyline and WordPress badges on this sticker sheet.
WordCamp Northeast Ohio
WordCamp Northeast Ohio is casual, locally organized conference covering everything related to WordPress. Their local community is awesome and their camp is, too. We dig on the buckeye-wielding Wapuu and the simple, purple vector design of the Kent skyline.
This year WordCamp Northeast Ohio (2016) will be two days, and each day will be filled with sessions covering topics for developers, content creators, beginners, designers and more. It should be a fun and informative camp. One cool WordPress service we just learned about from these folks is WordCrash, a platform that allows traveling WordPressers to view a list of friendly folks across the globe who are willing to offer free accommodations, and start a conversation with any of them about visiting their town. Save money, see the world, meet people, make friends.
In addition to the sessions, they willl also have an all-day WordPress Happiness Bar where you can stop by for one-on-one help with your specific WordPress questions and almost unlimited opportunities for meeting other people in the WordPress community.
They wrote up a cool promo on their site for us.
