Dayton Startup Week visits Ohio's aviation capital this week, where innovation and collaboration will take to the skies. For five days, the sixth-largest city in Ohio will see local entrepreneurs will meeting at sessions, pitching at meetings and attending educational sessions.
Startup Week is a five-day Techstars celebration of community, and this week it's time for Dayton Startup Week 2017. where a classic circle sticker in the orange branding of Startup Week will be making the rounds. There's a city skyline wrapped around a three-part event slogan: One Week. One Community. Unlimited Possibilities. Then a big, bold type treatment for the event branding and year help bring this 3.5"x3.5" circle sticker to life.
Startup Weeks are an expanded version of Startup Weekends, something we sponsor all year round. These events are a new type of conference that build momentum and create opportunities around entrepreneurship for local communities. What we are most excited about for these gatherings is that they are volunteer-led by entrepreneurs and they are hosted in the entrepreneurial spaces that have sprung up around a host city. The schedule is packed with different tracks, ranging from information about seeking venture capital and building great company culture to securing IP and food-filled mixers and networking sessions.
The folks at Dayton Tech Guide put out a really nice video as a promo for the event, and you can check it out on their YouTube page. We want to thank the organizing teams and all of the volunteers that helped make this event happen, and we looking forward to seeing what this community builds. There's quite a list of incoming startups that are making waves in Central Ohio.
