Custom Stickers Help Create Brand Ambassadors
hucklberry We sat down with Koan Goedman, one of the co-founders and co-owners of Huckleberry Roasters in Denver, Colorado. Huckleberry was founded in 2011 by Mark Mann and Goedman. They have one location in operation and another opening in winter of 2018

A little about Huckleberry

Huckleberry is a coffee company that has a retail side of the business that is a traditional coffee shop, and then they also have a wholesale side of the business where they roast their own coffee. They distribute to partners locally, nationally and even internationally. What's different is that they roast and brew and serve really tasty coffee, and do it in a way that is approachable for people who are perhaps a little unfamiliar or even scared of specialty third wave coffee. At the same time, on the other end of the spectrum, there is the more advanced coffee drinker---and Goedman says this with affection--"the coffee-nerd type of folks." Huckleberry has coffees that are super exciting for those customers as well. They even hold Coffee Workshops, which are the place to learn everything you always wanted to know about coffee. From seed to cup, the Workshop will have classes on the history of coffee, home brewing, espresso, milk steaming and drink building, sensory analysis, and more.

How Huckleberry uses stickers

Goedman says they started using StickerGiant very early in their company's history, and that they use them like most companies do--for marketing. They printed up logo stickers and icon stickers, and for them it's a fun way to give somebody something physical to take with them. The ideal goal is when the sticker gets slapped on something like a water bottle because that is exposure that businesses dream of getting, and stickers are a nice way to start a conversation. For the team at Huckleberry, stickers are a nice way for their customers to become ambassadors the brand without having to over-do it with marketing.
