Pete's Famous Pizza has been known as Philadelphia's best pizza since they first started making pies in the Logan Square neighborhood in Center City. Now with a second location in the Fairmount Community, Pete's has grown to serve even more passionate pizza fans in the City of Brotherly Love.
The story of Pete's Famous Pizza is one of the American Dream realized. The original founders Pete and Effie Ampatzis settled in Philly in 1969 after emigrating from Athens, Greece. After years of various jobs in different industries, the time was right for a pizza business, and in 1980, Pete's Famous Pizza made their first pie. The restaurant was an immediate success, and the very next year, Pete's Famous Pizza was awarded the highly coveted "Best Pizza of Philadelphia" by Philadelphia Magazine. It's been that way ever since. "Lines formed out the door, deliveries were constant, and tables were always occupied," according to the tales.
One early innovation in the business was the phrase and mission of "Hot Stuff To Go," coined by Pete's Famous Pizza that distinguishes us from the rest. This was a time before warmer bags existed for delivery drivers, and pizza was not often delivered piping hot (tragic!). Pete wanted to ensure that no customer would ever receive a cold pizza, so he purchased pickup trucks and installed ovens on the back. That effort on behalf of the customer helps illustrates that at Pete's, the priority is a dedication to quality food and happy customers.
Today, the tradition of quality and consistency continues within the Ampatzis family. Their dough, consisting of only the finest ingredients, is created daily on premises. With grandson Pete Jr. taking over the helm of the family business, Pete's Famous Pizza still guarantees the highest quality food and service to every customer. Three decades strong, Pete's Famous Pizza still lives to be a Philadelphia favorite!
Moustaki Authentic Gyros is a new business in Center City started up by Pete Jr., the grandson of the Pete and Effie. This new entry into the Philadelphia culinary scene builds on that history with a fresh take on Greek food.
Both of these restaurants are using glossy product labels to help brand their catering food as it goes on site for events or meals. Our Glossy White Labels are great for all sorts of applications that need some extra shine. These labels are designed for indoor use and they can hold up to the cold case or the warmer bag. Pete's Famous Pizza and Moustaki Authentic Gyros can send their logos into the neighborhood and know that their loyal customers will recognize them right away, and new customers will be exposed to their timeless designs.
