The first flames
started for Spark R&D back in 2006, when their founder, Will, a mechanical engineer, started designing a splitboard specific binding to improve the backcountry experience for splitboarders and snowboarders. From there, of course there were some ups and downs along the way (but that's what mountain sports are all abut, right?).
Fast forward over a decade and through those rough patches, and Spark R&D is a thriving, sticker-power business that designs, 3D scans, 3D prints, CNC machines, CNC turns, bends, punches, cuts, tumbles, anodizes, injection molds, prints, laser engraves, assembles, inspects, tests, packages, and ships all of their products in-house.
